Since coming out of the Conservatoire d’art dramatique of Montréal in 2007, Cynthia has accumulated primary roles in numerous TV series such as Trauma, Tactik, L’Appart du 5e, Mémoires vives, Plan B, L’Âge adulte, Alix et les merveilleux, Virage, Le 422, Une autre histoire and Classé secret. She was part of District 31’s seven seasons, where she played the role of Da-Xia Bernard, which won her a nomination at the Prix Gémeaux in 2018 for «Best supporting female role : annual drama series». On the web, we have seen her in Vidanges. She is also part of the cast of Bête noire.
On stage, she has performed at the Théâtre Denise-Pelletier, notably in L’Avare, La princesse Turandot, Médée, and Prouesses et épouvantables digestions du redouté Pantagruel. She was part of the original creation of Yukonstyle, presented at the Théâtre d’Aujourd’hui in 2013. She also worked as a puppeteer in Alice in Wonderland with the company Tout-à-Trac. In 2019, she appeared in Consentement at the Théâtre Jean-Duceppe, directed by Frédéric Blanchette.
A consistent presence on Montreal stages, she has appeared in recent years at the Théâtre du Nouveau Monde in Le rêveur dans son bain, Le projet Polytechnique, Orlando, and Lysis, as well as at the Théâtre d’Aujourd’hui in Beau gars. She has also taken part in the productions Janette and Top Girls, confirming the breadth and continuity of her theatrical career.
On the big screen, she embodied Jade Bossé in the film L’Empire Bo$$é, directed by Claude Desrosiers. More recently, she played Julie in L’Origine des espèces from director Dominic Goyer. This role won her a Gala Québec Cinema nomination for «Best supporting actress» in 2017.
