Emmanuel, a journalist and trained lawyer, directed his very first fiction short film, Cendres, in 2022, which screened at several festivals. In 2023, he directed the second season of the web series Moi, j’habite nulle part, nominated for three Gémeaux Awards in 2023. That same year, he directed several web segments for Mammouth Hebdo on Télé-Québec. In 2024, he received a Special Mention for the Canadian Grand Prix at the Festival Regard for his first documentary short film, Juste un toit, which was also selected at prestigious festivals including DOC NYC and the San Francisco International Film Festival. In 2025, he directed the third season of Moi, j’habite nulle part, in addition to directing and co-writing the documentary J’ai souvenir encore, broadcast on ICI Télé.
