Étienne met the script writer Éric K. Boulianne in 2011, that meeting is when everything started. A creative bromance within the two that led them to Cannes, with the short film Petit Frère (2013), at the Venise Mostra with the feature-length movie PRANK (2014) and at Baie St-Paul with the film Avant qu’on explose (Charlevoix, is after all the cross of Quebec). He loves filming, almost as much as he loves Star Wars and Richard Séguin, even if it does give him insomnia. Unfortunately, he hasn't yet learned to control his mind, to make him fall asleep quickly before a shooting day, like a Jedi would. But he will. He's patient.

His ambition and his love of the 7th art makes Étienne a very curious artist, interested in all facets of cinema. He trusts the projects that touch and inspire him, jumping at the chance to embark on new adventures with one guiding principle: creation.

Étienne Galloy is one of the youngest recipients of Telefilm Canada's « Talents en vue » program. He co-wrote, co-directed and co-produced his first feature film La Marina in 2019, distributed by Les Films Opales. Which is now available on CRAVE. Étienne is developing several personal projects as a writer/director, including the adaptation of the novel "Quand on aime la mauvaise personne, difficile de trouver la bonne" by Édith Chouinard, produced by Panache Films.

On TV, he has appeared in the series Lou et Sophie, Les bracelets rouges, Plan B 4 and Haute Démolition. On the big screen, he was brilliant in Rémi St-Michel's film Avant qu'on explose in 2019, and in 2023 he stars in Stéphane Moukarzel's film Sapins!
