François Blouin tells stories using a plethora of mediums. Through traditional production, theater/circus staging or virtual reality, François explores new ways of telling stories.
In recent months, he created and performed his first solo Waiting for Oedipe at the Théâtre La Chapelle Scènes Contemporaines. He also adapted and directed the play Les Hardings for TéléQuébec as well as Danse en trois temps, a triptych composed of Guillaume Côté, Rubberband dance and Louise Lecavalier. In the last few years, he = signed the direction of scenes in the popular video games Far Cry 3 and Far Cry 4 at Ubisoft Montreal, he directed the web series LES ARIES broadcast on Tou.tv (Gémeaux Nomination and Numix Prize best web series). He also collaborated with Moment factory on various projects including one at LAX airport and he frequently works with Félix and Paul studio designing and producing 3D cinematic VR experiences for the Cirque du Soleil (Canadian Screen Awards 2018 Best Immersive Experience, SXSW 2017 Special Jury Recognition UploadVR -2017 Best Immersive Film)
François Blouin has learned his job through the world of music videos and advertising (Sidlee, Bleublancrouge, Cossette, LG2) for more than fifteen years. He also practices, for about ten years now... clown work.
