Biography
Sophie Mercier began her career in the arts community at the age of 6, appearing invarious advertising campaigns, plays and corporate videos. Throughout her studies, shewas a part of many theater groups. Once out of high schools, she perfected her trainingfollowing a self-taught path. Over the years, she had the opportunity to work withDanielle Fichaud, Robert Favreau, Estelle Esse, Rene Gagnon, Linda Rabin, DynamoTheater, Marie Lavallée, Christian Vanasse, Studio Syllabes and Ruben Segal (Geneva)among others.
She performed several roles in theater, film and television. She was in Robert Thomas'Huit Femmes, presented at the Monument National and in the film Premières chroniquesamoureuses by Victor Lafond. She also worked on television, appearing among others inLes pieds dans la marge, La Job, Rumeurs, Mémoires Vives and most recently in ChevalSerpent.
She also collaborated for more than 10 years as the artistic director of Quatrième Enfant-Lune, an opera by Oriol Tomas. She took part in the production of several documentaryprograms such as: Quand passe la cigogne et Rescapés de la justice, broadcast on CanalD and Canal Vie.
