Graduated in 1991 from the National Theatre School of Canada, right at the beginning of his career, Stéphane Jacques is noticed for his work in theatre. He was a part of the unforgettable Nez à nez at the Quat'Sous Theatre from 1992 to 1994. He was in the casts of Contes Urbains, Willy Protagoras enfermé dans les toilettes, Comme en Alaska, Gagarin Way, Il n’y a plus rien and La Mélodie du Bonheur. Stéphane also worked on Histoire de fous, Nom de domaine, Des couteaux dans les poules, La puce à l’oreille, Opening Night, Peau d’ours, Une heure de tranquilité at the Jean-Duceppe Theatre, Une mort accidentelle presented at La Licorne as well as Le nom, at the Prospero Theatre.
On television, Stéphane worked on several productions such as Virginie, La Petite Vie, Fortier, Grande Ourse, Vice Caché, Le Négociateur, Annie et ses hommes as well as in Mauvais Karma, Mirador and Toute la vérité. He played the wicked Franck Manseau-Fisher in Mémoires vives and Sergeant Labonté in Louis Bélanger’s series: Séquelles. We saw him in Feux, District 31, L’imposteur, Mensonges, Une autre histoire, Aller Simple, Bête noire and most recently in Cérébrum and Corbeaux..
On film, we have seen him in Kim Nguyen's Truffe, Gabrielle Pelletier's La vie après l’amour, 15 février 1839 by Pierre Falardeau, Père et fils by Michel Boujenah, Littoral by Wajdi Mouawad, La lune viendra d’elle-même by Marie-Jan Seille, Guy A. Lepage's Camping Sauvage and François Bouvier's Miss Météo. Recently, we saw him in Louis Bélanger's latest films, Les mauvaises herbes and Vivre à 100 milles à l'heure, and in Guerres and L'ouragan FYT.
Stéphane is also the co-founder of Urbi et Orbi Theatre created in 1992.
