Multidisciplinary actor, Xavier graduated from the Paul-Gérin-Lajoie-d’Outremont School in dramatic arts (2016) and has completed several additional training programs, including Audition Preparation Workshops with Patrick Huneault (2018), Motion Capture Workshops (2019), and Camera Acting Workshops with Mélanie Pilon (2024‑2025). He also completed an intensive one-year program at O’Sullivan College in Media and Set Techniques (2023‑2024).

In film, he has distinguished himself in leading roles, notably as Da’bé in Maria Chapdelaine (2020) and François in Le Club Vinland (2019). He has also appeared in the short film Dors-tu by Nadia Louis-Desmarchais and in Les Rois by Oliver Côté, a performance that earned him the Best Actor Award at the Galichnik Film Festival in 2024.

On television, Xavier began with supporting roles in popular series such as District 31 and L’Heure bleue. He later portrayed Émerick in Hôtel and Félix, the investigator’s son, in Détective Surprenant. In 2025, he landed a complex leading role in the fourth season of STAT. That same year, he also appeared in the ten-episode web miniseries La Pomme d’Adam by Camille Lemay.

A versatile and deeply curious artist, Xavier also explores photography and video, developing a personal and sensitive visual universe. Many of his projects can be found on his Instagram account @xavier.rivard_. In 2025, he directed his first short film, Scène 8. He is simultaneously pursuing screenwriting studies at UQAM and continues to expand his artistic practice across different mediums.
