A graduate in acting from the École de théâtre of Cégep de St-Hyacinthe, Marie-Ève Sansfaçon quickly found her niche in the world of musical theatre. She notably collaborated as both an artist and producer with Les Productions du Quatrième Mur to create the popular Cabarets Broadway, where she stood out for her dynamic performances and the diverse tones of her singing voice for four years. Her outstanding voice later earned her a place in the choir of the musical Mary Poppins (directed by Serge Postigo), as well as the role of understudy for the lead character. In 2021 and 2022, she could be seen on stage in the roles of Adèle, Glinda, and the Wicked Witch of the West in the musical The Wizard of Oz, produced by Théâtre Advienne que pourra.
In parallel, Marie-Ève has held several roles in theatre and on television. On stage, she has portrayed a wide range of characters, including Thea in the dramatic satire Spring Awakening (directed by Luc Gauthier), Lotte in the operetta Trois jeunes filles nues (directed by Étienne Cousineau), and Gabrielle in the whimsical play Sous la poussière (directed by Frédéric-Antoine Guimond), which she reprised in 2020. On television, Marie-Ève has appeared in O’ (Season IV), Les Bobos, L’Auberge du chien noir, and Discussions avec mes parents.
Passionate about her craft, she continuously trains to expand her skill set and better serve the roles she takes on, as well as the directors, filmmakers, and stage managers she works with and for. Over the years, she has taken part in training sessions and masterclasses in acting, musical theatre, voice work, dubbing, and voice-over with leading experts such as René-Richard Cyr, Robert Marien, Léa Pool, Manuel Tadros, Sébastien Reding, and Marie-Andrée Corneille.
Versatile and reliable, Marie-Ève is also highly valued in the dubbing world, as evidenced by the many leading characters she has voiced. Among them: Lucy (Tuppence Middleton) in Downton Abbey, Spidersuit (Jennifer Connelly) in Spider-Man: Homecoming, Honeymaren (Rachel Matthews) in Frozen II, and Lieutenant Connix (Billie Lourd) in Star Wars: Episode IX, to name just a few. Marie-Ève once again lends her voice to Tuppence Middleton in a leading role in the psychological thriller Disappearance at Clifton Hill, which was released in late February this year.
Flexible, personable, and deeply committed to her art, Marie-Ève Sansfaçon is an artist who gives her all to interpret each character with subtlety and precision.
