Martin Juneau has operated numerous restaurants over the years. He notably served as chef-owner of the now-iconic restaurant La Montée de Lait from 2006 to 2011, before launching his most popular project, the restaurant Pastaga & vins natures, which he led for more than a decade. In recent years, he also served as Executive Chef of Metro Inc.
In 2015, he expanded his projects on Beaubien Street, including Mr. Crémeux, Le Petit Coin, CUL-SEC cave et cantine, as well as the natural wine import agency Volet Importation, which is still active.
Named Best Canadian Chef in 2011 at the Gold Medal Plates competition, he became known to the general public as a judge on both seasons of the culinary reality TV show Et que ça saute! broadcast on V in 2011 and 2012.
His inventive, eclectic, and unpretentious cuisine ranks among the most creative in the province. Deeply attached to Quebec’s culinary traditions, he hosted Les Prix Juneau in 2014, a series in which he traveled across Quebec in search of the best regional recipes.
He has also hosted several shows, including Les menus Zeste signés Martin Juneau, La tag BBQ (Zeste), Meilleur que le chef (Canal Vie), 99 envies d’évasion: Nouvelle-Orléans (Évasion), and L’avant-match des foodies (Zeste).
He will soon be chef and co-owner of the new restaurant at the Théâtre du Nouveau Monde in Montreal.
