A leading actress on the Quebec cultural scene, Maude Guérin has established herself over the years on stage, in film, and on television, earning praise from both audiences and critics.
On the small screen, she has stood out in numerous landmark series, including Feux, Toute la vérité, Mémoires Vives, Belle-Baie, Providence, and Vice caché. From 2018 to 2023, she played the lead role of Marie-Luce Goulet in the series 5e rang, broadcast on Radio-Canada. This role earned her widespread acclaim from both the public and critics, and was recognized with a Gémeaux Award and an Artis trophy. In 2023, she joined the cast of Société Distincte in the role of Micheline.
On the big screen, she portrayed Maud Graham in Jean Beaudin’s Le collectionneur, and has worked with many renowned directors, including Charles Binamé (La beauté de Pandore), Jean-Philippe Duval (Matroni et moi), Patrice Sauvé (Grande Ourse : La clé des possibles), and Sophie Dupuis (Chien de garde), for which her poignant portrayal of Joe earned her the Iris for Best Actress. In 2022, she appeared in the feature film Les jours heureux, directed by Chloé Robichaud.
On stage, she delivered a notable performance in Les gens, les lieux, les choses, presented in 2024 at Théâtre du Trident and Duceppe, directed by Olivier Arteau. She has collaborated extensively with Quebec’s leading theatre institutions, including Théâtre du Nouveau Monde (Cher Tchekhov, Vu du pont, Le chant de Sainte Carmen de la Main, La mouette, Belles-Sœurs – also presented in Paris and on tour), Théâtre du Rideau Vert (Long voyage vers la nuit), Théâtre Denise-Pelletier (Le songe d’une nuit d’été), Espace Go (Manifeste d’une jeune fille, Motel Hélène), Théâtre d’Aujourd’hui (Après), and Théâtre de Quat’Sous (Clôture de l’Amour).
At Théâtre Jean-Duceppe, she has taken part in more than a dozen productions, including Le loup, Qui a peur de Virginia Woolf?, La Cerisaie, Fragments de mensonges inutiles, Oncle Vania, Frères de sang, Les bonbons qui sauvent la vie, La chatte sur un toit brûlant, Mambo Italiano, Le nombril du monde, Les trois sœurs, Après la chute, and Ivanov.
